Socastee is the stretch of Horry County between Myrtle Beach and the Intracoastal Waterway — established neighborhoods, newer subdivisions off Highway 707 and 544, and plenty of rentals. Moves, rental turnovers and garages that finally got full make up most of our calls here.

Most of Socastee is unincorporated Horry County, so residents can use the Socastee convenience center on Jones Road — but it caps you at 4 cubic yards a day, and you do all the loading and unloading. One of our trailer loads is more than three days of trips. Bigger loads go to the Horry County landfill near Conway. Our Grand Strand landfill guide has the addresses, phone numbers and rules.
