Pawleys Island is in Georgetown County, so Horry County’s landfill and convenience centers will not take your waste. Georgetown County residents can use the Pawleys Island Convenience Center on Grate Avenue for household amounts, or the Georgetown County Landfill off Highway 51 for bigger loads — but you load it, haul it and unload it yourself, and there are limits on what they accept.
